The parents of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. got married on November 25, 1926 at Ebenezer Baptist Church. Martin Sr., then known as Michael, knew Alberta was going to be his wife before he even met her. He would walk past her home every day, dressed up, just to get a glimpse from her. She once appeared outside and smiled at him which was all he needed. Six years later, they would marry after getting the approval from her father, Rev. A.D. Williams. They would go on to have three children, as well.
