Texas blind snakes are commonly found on stony hillsides, prairies, and sandy or rocky deserts, under stones, boulders or other objects throughout most of the state of Texas. However, we recently came across two of these earth worm size snakes right outside our front door. Luckily they were spotted by a knowledgeable visitor who alerted us of their presence, which allowed us to make sure they were not accidentally stepped on by others. | National Butterfly Center
